India*s largest car manufacturer is now aiming to revolutionise green mobility in the country with its first ever electric car concept. Building on more than a month long speculation of an electric car concept,?Maruti Suzuki India Ltd has now come up with Futuro-e concept?and will be showcasing it at the upcoming Auto Expo 2020.
The company says that the concept electric car has been completely conceptualized and designed in India and will be a vehicle for ※the aspirational youth who seek bold expressions§. Concept Futuro-e has been specifically created as a next-generation mobility solution in the utility vehicle segment.
A coup谷-style electric concept, Maruti Suzuki has also revealed a teaser image of the Futuro-e in a recent release. The image shows a silhouette of a coupe beautifully merged into an SUV. This design is said to be inspired from geo-organic structural forms occurring in nature, as per CV Raman, Senior Executive Director (Engineering), Maruti Suzuki India Limited.
Maruti Suzuki further elaborates on the highlights of the Futuro-e concept. It says that the signature character of the electric concept are its distinctive coup谷 silhouette and bold proportions, which are also expected to mark a ※significant departure from the mainstream SUV architecture§. In addition, the concept electric car sports a unique paint finish that reacts to various lighting conditions in an eccentric manner.
As the company*s vision for the Indian market, Futuro-e concept electric car will probably form the base for the firm*s electric vehicle endeavours in the country. Its final production form can only be guessed at once Maruti Suzuki reveals the Futuro-e at the upcoming Auto Expo 2020. Till then, we can focus on the upcoming all-electric WagonR, which has already been spotted testing multiple times in the country.
