Ever since she embraced motherhood, Anushka Sharma has not been seen on the big screen. She was last seen in Zero alongside Shah Rukh Khan and did a cameo appearance in Qala, a film produced by her brother.?
The actress who will next be seen in Chakda Xpress, a biopic on Indian female player Jhulan Goswami, says she is prioritising motherhood over movies.?
"I donĄŻt think I found time to do anything else. IĄŻm okay to do more movies but only if itĄŻs worth taking my time out and if it makes sense. I donĄŻt want to do movies just to stay in the game ¨C IĄŻm very clear about that. It would have to be a film like Chakda", she said in an interview.?
"It has internally made me a far more self-assured individual ¨C I feel IĄŻm way more confident as a person. ItĄŻs a very real thing, caring for another human ¨C and putting the child first in everything. I want to mention this ¨C that itĄŻs so important to have this connect with your child. IĄŻm so hands on and I do everything for her, and I enjoy doing it, so the bond is very special. I feel that sheĄŻs turning into a secure individual, and IĄŻm happy about that," she told Grazia.
Last year, Anushka Sharma quit the production house Clean Slate Flimz that she co-founded with her brother Karnesh Sharma. At that time, she said that she want to focus on her first love that is acting.?
"I have decided that whatever time I have at hand, I will dedicate it to my first love, acting! Therefore, I have decided to step away from CSF, confident that the most able person, Karnesh, is taking forward the vision with which it was created in the first place," she wrote.
"I can't wait to see how he grows the company from strength to strength with the stellar lineup of projects that he has handpicked, nurtured and given life to. My best wishes to the entire family at CSF. Love you all," she added.
