Popular singer Daler Mehndi has become the first Indian singer to perform at a Metaverse concert on Republic Day.?Daler Mehndi was quoted in an ANI report as saying:
"I am glad and consider myself lucky that I am representing India. The team wanted me to perform Namoh Namoh invoking the Divine. This is a great platform to send a message to the entire world that we Indians believe that God is One."
The 'Tunak Tunak' singer posted a video on his Instagram after his performance at a concert in Party Nite, one of the first metaverse spaces of India.
Party Nite, marketed as ¡°India¡¯s metaverse," allows people to create avatars, play games, and earn NFTs. Party Nite is a ¡°digital parallel universe, powered by blockchain where people can hang out with friends as customizable avatars, meet new people as well as joint parties and events," the Metaverse¡¯s website says.?
The platform also allows users to claim, mint, and sell digital collectibles like NFTs.?
Metaverse is a virtual network in the technology space where people can take virtual interactions to the next level. Even in Shark Tank India, several star-ups pitched their metaverse ideas.
