Padma Shri Awardee Garikapati Narasimha Rao Slams Allu Arjun's 'Pushpa' For Promoting Violence

Do movies inspire films or do films inspire real-life incidents??

Padma Shri awardee Garikapati Narasimha Rao recently slammed Allu Arjun's much-hyped film Pushpa and said that it is because of such films that many atrocities that take place in society.

Garikapati Narasimha Rao said that Pushpa promotes violence and it is highly problematic.

"The movie doesn’t make any sense and it sets a dangerous precedent. It glorifies a smuggler and calls him a hero. He keeps saying, thaggede le, whenever he hits someone and is hailed as a mass hero by fans. If I ever meet the director or the actor, I will confront them about the film.

He even questioned whether the makers of the films and those who are a part of the project will take the responsibility if someone inspired by the film does a wrong thing. "Say someone hits a random person on the road and says, thaggede le, will they take responsibility?

Not just Allu Arjun starrer Pushpa,?Garikapati Narasimha Rao said that many other films are problematic too.??

"Not just this film, many films promote utter nonsense in the name of entertainment. It gives way to normalising problematic behaviour", he was quoted as saying by India Today.

Pushpa: The Rise had released in December and since then the Telugu movie has become a massive hit.
