Apple employees won¡¯t be returning to offices in February as previously slated due to the rise in COVID-19 cases, according to Bloomberg¡¯s Mark Gurman.?

In fact,? Apple even shut down its stores in Miami, Annapolis and Ottawa, just a day after it made it mandatory for everyone in its US stores to wear masks at all times. Apple has revealed that it would first test all the three employees and only then reopen the stores for all.
The indefinite postponement of returning back to work was revealed in a memo by Apple Chief Tim Cook.?
According to NBC¡¯s Zoe Schiffer, Tim Cook, in the memo has highlighted that the return-to-work date is yet to be determined, indicating that Apple employees won¡¯t really be getting work-from-home forever, like some other tech companies.
However, there is a silver lining to this. Apple has announced that it would be giving all of its employees $1,000 as a bonus that can be used for their ¡®work-from-home¡¯ needs. This bonus isn't just restricted to Apple corporate employees, but also applicable to retail workers.?

The rise in cases comes after the surfacing of the new COVID-19 variant -- Omicron. The February date for joining back office was first announced in November after the initial September joining date was delayed.

When it does become safe for employees to get back to the office, Apple announced that it would adopt a hybrid work model where employees will be expected to be in the office three days a week and will be given an option to work from home, two days a week.
Apple would also offer an option to work from home for a whole month in a year to employees who wish to do so.?
