Three is down in UK:?Three UK outage has disrupted voice calls for thousands of users this morning, with many unable to make or receive calls since around 7:45?am?BST¡ªnot just on Three, but also on Smarty and iD Mobile networks?. Reports flooded in via?Downdetector as subscribers struggled to place calls while mobile data remained unaffected.?
Despite the silent disruption, Three has acknowledged the problem, issued an apology, and is urgently working on a fix. The outage has frustrated commuters and remote workers, and many are wondering if compensation will be forthcoming.?
As the network scrambles for solutions, stay tuned to find out when normal service may return¡ªand what customers can expect next.?
In Windows, the name given to a network connection, usually when a device joins a new network, is "Network 3" (or a numbering scheme like Network 1, Network 2). It's a label that Windows uses to keep track of the various networks a device has joined, not a particular network type or technology.?
This frequently occurs when a computer moves between networks, such as switching between a public hotspot and home Wi-Fi.??
?Another partial network outage that appears to be stopping users from making or receiving calls has been reported by some Three UK (VodafoneThree) subscribers this morning. The problem affects voicemail access and virtual operators (e.g., iD Mobile, Smarty, etc.).?
The issue began at around 8 am this morning and is still strong. It also affects SMS messaging and comes after a similar event at the beginning of this year (here). When customers try to call Three UK, they will hear nothing, and the call won't connect, but their data (mobile broadband) connectivity will still work.?
"We are aware of an issue affecting voice services and are working hard to fix it," a Three UK representative posted on social media. Data services are operating as they should. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused.
