MrBeast, the YouTuber-turned-entrepreneur whose real name is Jimmy Donaldson, is going to appear on Amazon with more seasons of Beast Games. According to an IMDB report, Amazon appears to be moving forward with an additional season of Beast Games. However, so far, there is no official announcement on the same yet.
Another report by Deadline highlights that the streamer is currently casting for Season 2 of the MrBeast-led series; there are rumours of a potential two-season order.
Prime Video and Amazon MGM Studios head Mike Hopkins appeared to confirm the news during a panel at the Milken Institute Global Conference in Los Angeles on Wednesday.
Mike, in a statement, said that they are going to do a couple more seasons of that. He mentioned the series while describing the success the company has had so far dipping its toes into the creator economy.
On the other hand, MrBeast gave away $25 million in prize money on his Prime Video competition series, which he debuted in December. He was also eager to give away even more cash during the recent conversation for Deadline's Contenders TV, teasing that "another 10 seasons could happen".
However, during that time, he remained ignorant about the show's prospects.
In January, Beast Games set an audience record on Prime Video; with this, the show became the streamer's most-watched unscripted series ever in its first 25 days.
So far, the series has racked up 50 million viewers globally in that time frame, also making it the second most-watched and the second most gripping new series of 2024, after Fallout. Well, MrBeast already has a successful YouTube show, and after this, Beast Games is touted "to become the biggest reality competition series ever with 1000 contestants competing with each other for a $5 million cash prize.
This is one of the biggest payouts in the television industry. In the show, MrBeast serves as a host and an executive producer.?
