Now, the latest reports suggest that the company has already finalised his opponent for SummerSlam. According to a report, ‘The Viper’ may face a former world champion at the Premium Live Event.?

Randy Orton may face Nick Aldis at SummerSlam and fans are upset

Randy Orton, who recently suffered a devastating defeat at the hands of John Cena, is reportedly set to lock horns with an on-screen authority figure at SummerSlam. According to WrestleVotes, the plan is for the veteran star to take on Nick Aldis at the Premium Live Event (PLE)

Aldis is the current GM of SmackDown. However, prior to joining the promotion, he made his name for himself as an in-ring performer. Aldis is best known for his his association with TNA, where he wrestled under the name Magnus and won the company’s world title on two occasions. Interestingly, fans are not happy about Aldis potentially facing Oton at the event.?

A netizen said that the master of the RKO should win the World Heavyweight Championship at the PLE instead of taking on a manager. They further hit out at Triple H, who heads the creative team, for going in this direction.?

Another netizen pointed out that Randy Orton needs to fight an active wrestler at the event rather than someone who has never wrestled for the promotion.?

An X user also accused the WWE of ‘wasting’ Orton’s talents. He felt that even Joe Hendry, who challenged him at WrestleMania 41, wasn’t a ‘big’ name.?
