In a surprising turn of events, and after the aftermath of the Indian Premier League¡¯s (IPL) abrupt suspension, many players may be missing from various teams, including Mitchell Starc. Team Delhi Capitals (DC) Mitchell Starc is reportedly going to miss the remaining matches of IPL 2025.
According to a TOI report, which claims that the Australian pacer won¡¯t return to India for the remaining IPL matches. Well, apart from Starc, Mumbai Indians (MI), Will Jacks and Richard Gleeson will also be missing for the remaining matches of the league.
As per ESPN Cricinfo, Jacks will be unavailable for the final stages due to international duty with England¡¯s ODI series against the West Indies. While Gleeson is also set to miss the final playoff, as Cricket South Africa is requesting members of their World Test Championship.
Everything was going well until an unprecedented incident happened that led to a one-week suspension of the IPL 2025. However, the 18th edition of the league will resume from Saturday, May 17, onwards, when Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) will be facing off against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR).
On the other hand, these teams have beaten DC at their home ground this season. Amid this, Mitchell Strac not being a part of the upcoming matches is quite a shock for the DC fans. But what is the reason behind this?
According to Toi, Mitchell Strac won¡¯t be available for their three remaining matches. The development has been on expected lines, although the left-arm pacer kicked off the season with 8 wickets in two games and has also taken 14 wickets with a strike rate of 15.0.
However, the reason for his unavailability is not confirmed, but the news has left DC fans heartbroken.
As soon as the news surfaced on social media, fans quickly shared their reactions. One said, ¡°Mitchell Starc will not attend the rest of the IPL due to security reasons. Mitchell disrespected India.???¡±
¡°When you¡¯re already making boatloads of cash by playing international, of course, you can sacrifice IPL money,¡± one noted.
"Good for delhi tbh, they can get Natarajan now. Starc got smacked in 80% of the matches like a club bowler."

"It is big setback for DC but we should respect of their decision as he preferred to choose to play for their country over IPL. In an article, I had read that CA will support of their players, whether they want to play or not the remaining matches of IPL."
