The League of Legends patch 25.13 is almost here, and with it comes a set of changes aimed at keeping the game balanced for both solo queue and pro play. The developer of the title, Riot Games, has only made a few adjustments this time, which makes sense since the current meta is already stable. These changes will be applied before the Mid-Season Invitational (MSI) 2025 begins.
Game designer Matt Leung-Harrison, known as RiotPhroxzon, revealed the patch preview on X (formerly Twitter) on June 17, 2025. He shared the full list of champions getting buffs and nerfs in patch 25.13.
Only a handful of champions are getting buffed in this patch. Each one is being looked at for different reasons¡ªsome to make them more viable in pro play, others to bring them back into solo queue rotations.
A few champions are performing too well, either in pro games or high-elo solo queue, and will be toned down in this patch.
RiotPhroxzon commented on Ryze, saying, "Ryze is looking a bit too unassailable on current tuning, especially after we nerfed a lot of his competition in 25.12. We're not looking for a major nerf here, just a small tap down."
Since patch 25.13 will be used during MSI 2025, the goal is to make sure no champion completely dominates. That¡¯s why we¡¯re seeing light touches rather than a full meta shake-up.?Twisted Fate is one example. After his patch 25.12 buffs, he¡¯s been dominating the solo queue with burst-heavy items. These nerfs should bring him back in line.
Expect more details soon when the full patch notes drop. For now, these are the early updates for LoL patch 25.13.
