Drishyam 3 OTT release: Mohanlal is set to begin the shoot of Drishyam 3, one of the biggest films of his career. The thriller will go on the floors this October. ¡®Lalettan¡¯ shared the big news with a video in which he is seen with producer Antony Perumbavoor and director Jeethu Joseph. The video ends with the words ¡®lights, camera, October¡¯. Drishyam 3 is expected to open in theatres next year. After that it will make its way to OTT.

Drishyam 3 may stream on Prime Video

Drishyam 3 will premiere on OTT after its run in theatres, as is the case with most big-ticket films. Drishyam (2013) is available on Prime Video. This is also the case with Drishyam 2 (2021), which premiered directly on the streaming platform in 2021 and emerged as a ¡®digital blockbuster¡¯.

Given this, Drishyam 3 too is likely to stream on Prime Video after its run in theatres. The team, however, is yet to make an official announcement regarding the OTT partner. One can expect more clarity on this closer to the release date.

About the Drishyam franchise

The Drishyam franchise centres on Georgekutty (Mohanlal), a cable operator who is a total family man. His life is turned upside down after a horrific incident. The first film focuses on his attempts to save his loved ones from the cops. The sequel plays out along similar lines, with the protagonist struggling to put the past behind him. This suggests that Drishyam 3 may also deal with the events that transpire when he deals with old and new challenges.
