The story takes place in a small coastal village controlled by a violent criminal named Ranatunga (played by Randeep Hooda). The villagers live in fear and can¡¯t stand up to him. One day, a tough outsider (Sunny Deol) arrives in the village. He sees how badly the people are being treated and decides to do something about it. He starts fighting back against Ranatunga and his men.
As the stranger pushes back harder, the conflict grows. Jaat follows his mission to bring justice to the village, using his fists, strength, and sense of right and wrong. The plot is simple: bad guy rules village, good guy shows up, and a fight for justice begins.
Jaat¡¯s review
The Times of India rated the film 3 out of 5, and a part of their review read, ¡°Gopichand Malineni¡¯s Jaat is an unabashedly loud, hero-driven spectacle that aims to marry the exaggerated swagger of South Indian action with North Indian machismo. It¡¯s a decent one-time watch for fans of old-school Deol-led actioners, but for anyone seeking innovation or depth, Jaat may feel like a missed opportunity wrapped in a thunderous punch.¡±
