Raid 2 box office collection day 1: Raid 2, which hit the screens on May 1, opened to a thunderous response at the Indian box office and received rave reviews from most critics. The film outperformed Kesari Chapter 2 and helped Ajay Devgn, the face of this franchise, add another feather to his cap. Raid 2 is a crime thriller directed by Raj Kumar Gupta.

Ajay Devgn is in the limelight because of his latest film Raid 2, one of the most eagerly awaited releases of the month. The thriller opened to a strong response at the domestic box office on the first day. According to Sacnilk, a trade website, it earned Rs 19.25 crore (nett) on the first day.

Raid 2 outperformed Kesar Chapter 2, which hit the screens on April 18 and raked in nearly Rs 7 crore on the first day. The second installment of the Raid franchise has also beaten films such as Shaitaan (Rs 14.75 crore) and Drishyam 2 (Rs 15.35 crore), which featured Ajay Devgn in the lead.

Raid 2 has received positive reviews, with critics praising the performances and execution. This worked in its favour and is expected to help it stay strong even once the initial buzz fades.
