SS Rajamouli Never Even Dreamt Of It, MM Keeravani Is Thrilled: RRR Team On Oscar Nomination

The Oscar nomination of RRR song Naatu Naatu has made history for India. The SS Rajamouli movie has become the the first Indian feature film to be nominated other than best international film at the Academy Awards, and the entire team who worked on the film and the song is dancing to the beats of song. They are all on cloud nine.

MM Keeravani calls Naatu Naatu his infact

"My feelings about the Oscars is the best, because it involves the dreams of artists from all over the world; which is not a joke. It takes a great deal of effort and credibility. That¡¯s why the Oscars is the Oscars. That¡¯s why we respect and value it very much. And I¡¯m very proud to be nominated for the first time from [South] Asia in this music category. I¡¯m thrilled", he was quoted as saying by Deadline.

He added, "For me, Naatu Naatu means the world. It was just a song when it was born, when I saw my song on the screen after the [scene] was done with the choreography, I said, 'Oh my God! This is my son.' This was my infant son and now my son became big. He became a major [player]. Now he¡¯s driving cards, he¡¯s dancing, and he has a girlfriend. Yesterday, he was an infant in my cradle. And now my son is going places and bagging a good name for me. I¡¯m like a proud father. I¡¯m very grateful for this brainchild. And for all the people who made this big wave possible."

SS Rajamouli wrote a humble note on RRR's Oscar nomination. He said that he never even dreamt of Oscar nomination - not even in his wildest dreams.

He wrote, "The main reason is Tarak (Jr NTR) and Charan's (Ram Charan) sync and style. They danced their way into the hearts of audiences across the globe. I never dreamt of an Oscar, even in my wildest dream! It is the fans of Naatu Naatu and RRR who believed in it."

RRR actress Olivia Morris thanked SS Rajamouli and MM Keeravani

Taking to Intagram, she expressed her happiness and excitement and wrote, "Me right now. The Naatu Naatu sequence was by far my favourite thing to work on in RRR and it was only made possible by the incredible @ssrajamouli and #mmkeeravaani. To see Naatu Naatu being nominated for best original song at the Oscar¡¯s and winning at the Golden Globes is such a huge and wonderful thing. So grateful to have been a part of this epic film."
