The action drama has created a fair deal of buzz among fans with its trailer. The fact that it features cameos from big names in the industry has further added to the curiosity surrounding it. How much does Kannappa need to earn to be a success?

Vishnu Manchu is in the limelight because of his latest film Kannappa, which is slated to open in theatres on June 27. According to Ramesh Bala, a trade analyst, the film needs to collect in the range of Rs 150 crore to Rs 200 crore in India to emerge as a ¡®hit¡¯.

¡°It is a pan-India film and has been shot on a decent budget. As such, I feel it should do anything around Rs 150 crore and Rs 200 crore in India to be successful,¡± he told Indiatimes.

Interestingly, Vishnu Manchu¡¯s previous release Ginna (2022) was a big flop at the box office. According to Sacnilk, a trade website, it earned nearly Rs 2 crore in India in its full run. That said, Kannappa may prove to be a different story. It has been promoted more aggressively. Moreover, it features the likes of Prabhas and Akshay Kumar in key roles. Their presence might help the film if the word-of-mouth is positive.
