There are interactions involving the hotel staff- (Murray Bartlett and Natasha Rothwell), who are hell-bent on keeping everything in order. The Hawaiian resort serves an ultra-wealthy, overwhelmingly white clientele, but slowly you see the privileged whites having a tone-deaf discussion on racism.

The newly married couple is on a honeymoon but all husband cares about is an upgraded version of the room that he already has because come on, his ¡®mother¡¯ paid for him.

I love that #whitelotus is saturated in yellow hues throughout the show. It¡¯s color that can either induce peaceful or anxiety fueled thoughts based on who¡¯s looking at it. Be it its tense opening credits or repeated shots of ocean waves rolling over and almost drowning the camera; this show is a visual delight apart from being a jaw-clenching thriller that will make you laugh and then sigh in discomfort seeing how much humanity has fallen.

From Daddario playing the role of arm candy for her husband who cares very little for her ambitions and dreams to Coolidge, who puts her best foot forward playing an insecure and needy Tanya, who seeks comfort in spa employee Belinda, who is obviously oblivious of the consequences that she often suffer because of being the financially powerful person in a relationship.
