25-Year-Old Meerut Jeweller Sets New Guinness World Record With Ring Having 12,600 Diamonds

¡°It's wearable and comfortable,¡± Bansal who described his audacious creation as a dream project told AFP.

Bansal, a gemologist and jewellery designer by profession said he got the idea two years ago while studying design in Surat.
¡°My target was always more than 10,000 diamonds. I trashed many designs and concepts over the years to finally zero in on this,¡± Bansal, the managing director of Renani Jewels AFP.
¡°I was trying to think about designs for a long time, and eventually found it in my garden. A marigold flower caught my eye and I put it in between my fingers to see how it will look. It was then that I decided.¡± he explained.

In a statement, his company said that each tiny petal in the ring's eight-layer flower design was unique.
Bansal said he had already knocked back requests from prospective buyers.
¡°We have no plans of selling it right now,¡± he said. ¡°It's a matter of pride for us. It's priceless.¡±
The previous record determined by Guinness, also set in India, was for a ring containing 7,801 diamonds.
Guinness World Record
It was made by a man named Kotti Srikanth, who owns ¡®The Diamond Store by Chandubhai¡¯ in Hyderabad.
It is called ¡®The Divine- 7801 Brahma Vajra Kamalam¡¯. Srikanth had started making it in September 2018 and took around 11 months to complete it.
