Will Donald Trump rewrite U.S. laws to return again for the third & fourth term? Elon Musk¡¯s post sparks big speculation
Donald Trump has stirred fresh controversy by hinting at a third term, launching 2028 campaign-style merchandise. Elon Musk, after exiting his government role, reposted a meme showing a ¡°Trump 2032¡± cap, adding to the political drama.

President Donald Trump, now in his second term at the White House, is once again challenging political norms. Just over 100 days into his presidency, he has stirred new debate by openly suggesting that he may seek a third term. Despite the 22nd Amendment, which limits presidents to two terms, Trump earlier told NBC News his team is ¡°exploring methods¡± to make it happen. ¡°I¡¯m not joking,¡± he added, making it clear he intends to test the constitutional waters.
Trump¡¯s online store has already begun selling 2028-themed merchandise. A red cap that reads ¡°Trump 2028¡± is being promoted online, with Trump¡¯s son Eric spotted wearing it in a photo shared through a social media account linked to the former president. The product description reads: ¡°Make a statement with this Made in America Trump 2028 hat.¡± Meanwhile, tech billionaire Elon Musk has also jumped into the spotlight with a viral ¡°Trump 2032¡± meme ¡ª just hours after stepping away from his government advisory role.
Elon Musk bows out, shares ¡®Trump 2032¡¯ meme
Billionaire Elon Musk, known for his public support of Trump, recently stepped down from his role in the Department of Government Efficiency, commonly referred to as DOGE. The exit was described by officials, including Trump himself, as expected.
Soon after, Musk reposted a meme originally shared by DogeDesigner. The image showed a red cap with ¡°Trump 2032¡± written on it and was captioned ¡°Think Ahead.¡± It sparked widespread speculation, especially as it came right after Musk¡¯s official exit from the Trump administration.

Trump called Musk a ¡°great patriot¡± and said, ¡°We have to, at some point, let him go and do that,¡± referring to Musk¡¯s focus on private ventures amid Tesla¡¯s reported slump in earnings.
Interestingly, Musk had earlier predicted that an AI candidate could run for president in 2032. Speaking at the Breakthrough Prize ceremony in 2024, he said that Artificial General Intelligence (AGI) might become ¡°smarter than the smartest human¡ probably next year, within two years.¡±
Can Trump really rewrite the rules?
Amending the U.S. Constitution requires a two-thirds majority in both the House and the Senate, followed by approval from at least 38 of the 50 state legislatures.
Still, Trump is known for turning rules into merchandise. From ¡°Trump University¡± to the ¡°God Bless the USA Bible¡± priced at $59.99, his empire now includes pink pajamas for Mother¡¯s Day, jewelry engraved with 45 and 47 (his presidential numbers), and even pickleball paddles.
His latest move: inviting the top 220 investors in his cryptocurrency, $TRUMP, to a private dinner.
As his approval ratings face new lows and public concern grows over living costs and tariff policies, Trump seems more focused on controlling the narrative¡ªand the branding¡ªthan ever before.
