Battlegrounds Mobile India Update 1.6.5 Brings New Game Modes And Loot System

Popular battle royale game Battlegrounds Mobile India is set to receive a massive update that would bring a bunch of much-awaited features to the game.

The updated version 1.6.5 has already been teased by Krafton on their official Instagram handle. The post wasn¡¯t really specific -- it stated that the new 1.6.5 update is scheduled to arrive this October, however, the post did include a video that shed light on what the players will have in store for them.
The biggest inclusion in the update is the Metro Royale: Reunion Mode which was made available to players on September 28. The mode allows them to bring items found within the game to the loadout inventory in the form of loot. However, this only works if players reach the return point in a specific time frame.
The loot items can be used for their next game or even be sold off on the black market for Metro Cash, which allows players to make more purchases within the game.
The mode also gets three maps which get unlocked based on the FAME level of the player. The mode has four sub-modes -- Basic, Undercover, Advanced and Assault.
Another map that¡¯s been included in this update is the Vikendi map (which went live on October 8) that spans at a radius of six kilometres. Also included in this mode is a snowmobile and a G36C gun.

Another cool inclusion is Runic Power mode (starting October 15). The mode tasks players to select between three runes -- Flame, Wind and Arctic. The rune offers special skills to the player that splits between defence and offence. Using the special skill reduces the level of the rune crystal.
For instance, Flame rune gets a Magma Wheel for defence and Scorching Ammo as the offence. Arctic rune gets Ice Wall for defence and Freezing Ammo for the offence. Wind Rune uses Wind Shelter for defence and Wind Boost to boost players¡¯ movement speed.

October 22 will bring Survive till Dawn mode, where players will have to save themselves from Zombie hordes until the sun rises. The game mode will be based on the Erangel map and players can earn rewards by defeating the boss zombie.

October 31 will bring Payload 2.0 which will load up helicopters, armed cars with weapons like M2020 quadruple RPG, AT4-A laser missile etc. Players will also get UAV control terminals, bomb suits and man-portable radar.
Also in the spirit of Halloween Battlegrounds Mobile India is introducing the Virus Infection Halloween Mode starting October 31. The game is split between two teams -- Zombies and Humans. Both teams fight each other and the surviving one is deemed victorious.
