In case you didn¡¯t know, the Amazon CEO recently bought an old textile museum in Kalorama, Washington DC. Architects remodelled the classic museum into a 34,000 square feet mansion that would even make Mukesh Ambani¡¯s Antila blink.
However, while the mansion was being renovated, his parked vehicles on the street amounted to parking tickets over $16,840, which is around Rs 12 lakhs.
First reported by WUSA9, the news agency obtained records from DC¡¯s Department of Public Works that revealed that the city had issued 564 citations in the 2200 and 2300 blocks of S Street -- the location of this mansion.
The tickets -- mostly ignored parking signs, parking in reserved spots, obstructing pedestrians etc. -- ranged from October 2016 (when he bought the museum) till October 2019.
The entire museum cost a little around $23 million, and further renovation costs came up to around $12 million, so maybe $16,840 doesn¡¯t really seem like a lot in comparison.

The mansion is located in the area with the neighbourhood including people like the Obamas, Ivanka Trump and others.
The entire building has around 11 bedrooms, a ballroom, wine cellar, whiskey tasting room, a movie theatre and more than 1,000 light fixtures.
As per a report by The Verge, the work at the mansion seems to be almost done, as it was opened for an after-party for the Alfalfa Club guests which allegedly included Microsoft CEO Bill Gates, Jared Kushner, Ivanka Trump and Ben Stiller.
