The Jana Sena Party released a statement confirming the incident on April 8th in Vijayawada. The fire occurred at Mark Shankar's school in Singapore. "I promised the villagers in Kuridi near Araku Valley that I would visit them as per the schedule, and I am committed to completing the tour," Kalyan said in the press release.
Kalyan stated that after finalizing development program arrangements in the tribal area, he would travel to Singapore.
