Cardi B walked the Met Gala 2025 carpet in a green outfit to match the theme; however, the internet was not impressed. Viewers felt she could have chosen a better outfit, as this one made her look like seaweed.
Met Gala 2025: Although Cardi B has a history of making daring fashion statements, her entrance at the 2025 Met Gala left the internet more perplexed than pleased. In an attempt to fit in with this year's theme, "Tailored For You," the rapper made an appearance on the famous steps wearing a striking green outfit. She chose a fitted Burberry velvet dress styled by her longtime stylist Kollin Carter in a shade of forest green. It had a sheer ruffled undershirt and Cardi B finished the ensemble with dangling earrings and a pear-shaped diamond pendant necklace.

Taking to social media, some fans felt that she looked good; however, most kept commenting on how her outfit resembled a vegetable, seaweed, or even a Christmas tree. Many said that Cardi should have chosen a better outfit, as this one just wasn't it.
One wrote, ¡°Even she herself knows that she is not giving sh*t . It¡¯s given broccoli or maybe a Christmas tree.¡±
A second added, ¡°Maybe next time cardi.¡±
A third went on to add, ¡°I can¡¯t tell if she¡¯s supposed to be Dubai chocolate or a tree.¡±

Cardi B left her hotel with a bunch of Burberry umbrellas to keep her costume a secret before she walked the Met Gala red carpet. People were disappointed and questioned, "This is what she was hiding?" as soon as she showed off the attire on the carpet.
For those who don¡¯t know, among women in hip-hop, Cardi B holds several records. She is the first female rapper to have five number-one singles on the Billboard Hot 100, the only one to achieve multiple solo number-ones, and the only female rapper to have number-one hits in two different decades, the 2010s and 2020s.
