As Heatwave Hits Australia, Video Of This Thirsty Koala Drinking Water From A Bottle Goes Viral
Chantelle Lowrie a local was camping near the Murray River in the Southern state of Victoria when she saw a Koala. The woman realised the koala might be thirsty and offered it some of her water. Her gesture and the koalas gulping of bottled water melted many hearts.
As Australia is witnessing an extreme heatwave and some towns in the Southern half have set new records with mercury touching 44 degrees Celsius.
People and even animals are going crazy about the fact that they have to experience heat at this time - in December. Chantelle Lowrie, a local, was camping near the Murray River in the Southern state of Victoria when she saw a Koala.

"It was 44 degrees Celsius and very, very hot day," Lowrie told AFP on Tuesday. "I stopped because he looked as though he could use a drink of water."
The woman realised the koala might be thirsty and offered it some of her water. Her gesture and the koala's gulping of bottled water melted many hearts. Lowrie posted a video on Facebook where she can be seen offering water to the furry animal who drank from the bottle before climbing up the tree.
