21st century is all about the internet and what catches one's attention on social media. So, naturally, there are millions of videos and pictures posted on the internet every day but it takes something really eye-catching to become a viral sensation.
So, what is the mantra to become an internet viral sensation? Well, there isn't any. Sure, if you want to become a content creator, there are certain algorithms and planning you'll have to do to become viral, but what about all those commoners who become one overnight.
That's right! The social media generation has been making many common people into the most viral sensations and all it took was their talent or something that really is catchy.
So, here are all the ordinary Indians who became viral on the internet overnight :
1. Ranu Mondal - Ek Pyaar Ka Nagma Hai
Mondal was first discovered at the Ranaghat Railway Station in West Bengal in 2019 singing the Lata Mangeshkar classic Ek Pyar Ka Nagma. After that, there was no looking back for her. She instantly became an overnight singing sensation and was approached by singer-composer Himesh Reshammiya who signed a contract with her to sing for his album. Her first song with Reshammiya Teri Meri Kahani too got viral.

Sahadev Dirdo - Bachpan Ka Pyaar
A child from Chhatisgarh was casually singing bachpan ka pyaar to his teachers in a classroom wearing a blue shirt. He never thought that this casual upload would make him a star in no time. From celebrities such as rapper Badshaah to Niharika NM and Ruhee Dosani, many found various versions of this boy's singing and vibed on it. Not just that, recently even the Cm of Chattisgarh felicitated him with a flower garland.
3. Kanta Prasad ¨C Baba Ka Dhaba
Owning a small dhaba in Delhi's Malviya Nagar, Kanta Prasad AKA Baba broke many hearts with his interview last year with food blogger Gaurav Wasan. This interview was viewed by over 50 million people on Facebook and 30 million people on Instagram, it was even shared by actress Sonam Kapoor along with many other celebrities. This is when Baba Ka Dhaba became popular, thousands of people visited this small dhaba after watching the video and came forward to help Kanta Prasad financially. He even built a restaurant based on that.
4. Vipin Sahu ¨C Land Kara De
This man became an internet sensation in 2019 after a hilarious video of his first experience of paragliding in Himachal Pradesh was shared on social media. In the video, a visibly scared Sahu kept asking the paragliding guy to take him back. He kept saying, ¡°Bhai 200-300 Zaada Lele Bas Land Karade¡± and "Main Ma******d hun jo yahan aya". This guy even became one of the contestants on MTV Roadies and is now a popular Youtuber with 125K subscribers.
5. Anita Gupta - Gucci Belt Rant
A month ago, Instagram user Chabi Gupta shared a candid reaction of her mother, Anita Gupta, opening a box consisting of a red and green belt her daughter bought from the luxury fashion brand Gucci. Shocked by the price of the product, the mother was seen declaring that it resembles the belts worn by students of Delhi Public School (DPS), Ranchi. She seemed extremely shocked by the price of the belt which was Rs 35,000 and got popular after this reaction. Late, she got a photoshoot wearing the belt over her saree.
6. Vaibhav Vora - Mature Bag
We all remember the concept of the 'mature bag' to take with us to college, right? A bag can be colourful and even spacious but a bag can be mature as well was only told to us by Vora. After his video about the mature bag and how to impress someone got out, he became an internet sensation. Memes on 'mature bag' flooded the Internet and Mumbai Police also joined the bandwagon.

7. Toddler Anushrut - Video resisting haircut
A recent video shared on Twitter by a father, highlights the problems of giving your child a haircut at home, in the most hilarious way. This child by the name of Anushrut got viral after he hilariously kept protesting the haircut he was getting. His cute face and his adorable 'threatening' got viral on the internet. "Arey baapre kya kar rahe ho tum, main gussa hu, main maarunga tumko, main tumhari cutting karunga, main bohot bada hu, main cutting karne nahin dunga (What are you doing, I am very angry, I will hit you), this is what he kept saying throughout the video.

8. Somvati Mahawar - Chai Pee Lo
Way back in 2018, Somvati Mahawar became an overnight wonder with her 15-second video of "Hello Friends, Chai Pee Lo¡±, amassing millions of views. Brands like Netflix, ShopClues, Foodpanda and Mother Dairy also participated in the meme fest that followed later. She recorded more than 400 videos and became a well-known content creator with 28k followers. Her video of just telling people to drink tea and waking them up has garnered over a million views by now.
9. Sanjeev Shrivastava - Dancing Uncle
Back in 2018, a 50-year-old uncle wowed everyone with his dance moves and instantly got famous. In the famous viral dancing video from a wedding, Uncle, who is also a die-hard fan of yesteryear's actor Govinda was seen dancing to Govinda's chartbuster song "Aap Ke Aa Jane Se" from the 1987 movie Khudgarz. After that he won the name of dancing uncle.
