The drama surrounding It Ends with Us just got messier. A crew member from the film has come forward with claims that Blake Lively tried to take advantage of her co-star and director, Justin Baldoni, adding more fuel to an already fiery legal battle.

Storyboard artist Talia Spencer, who worked on the controversial film based on Colleen Hoover's book of the same name, is speaking out. She alleged that Lively saw Baldoni¡¯s kindness as a weakness and tried to ¡°take power¡± from him during production. ¡°She thought being kind meant being a pushover,¡± Spencer reportedly said in an interview with 60 Minutes Australia that aired Sunday.
Spencer further backed the growing claims that Lively, 37, tried to take creative control during production. ¡°I think there was a massive compromise in terms of Justin¡¯s original vision for the film,¡± she said.

¡°To see it be overtaken by this was definitely a little bit sad,¡± she added. While she didn¡¯t get into the details of exactly how Lively allegedly asserted control, she hinted that the project may have veered off course due to Lively's actions.
Legal battle between Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni intensifies
This all comes as Baldoni and Lively are locked in a complex legal fight. Back in late 2024, Lively filed a lawsuit accusing Baldoni of sexual harassment and retaliation on set¡ªserious claims that he strongly denies. In response, Baldoni hit back with a countersuit, naming not just Lively but also her husband, Ryan Reynolds, and her publicist, accusing them of defamation and civil extortion.

In his lawsuit, Baldoni also accused Lively of trying to gain control of the project that was his brainchild. ¡°For example, Lively began to insist on creative control over her character¡¯s wardrobe,¡± Baldoni alleged in the suit.
¡°While lead actors are sometimes granted approval over their characters¡¯ general look, they generally do not receive full control.¡±
Meanwhile, Lively has claimed that Baldoni added unauthorized, graphic scenes to the movie.

In January 2025, Judge Lewis J. Liman set the trial date and cautioned both parties against litigating the case through the media, warning that continued public commentary could lead to an earlier trial date. ?
