Was Shubman Gill out or not out? GT skipper seen fuming over third umpire's decision
Gujarat Titans (GT) skipper Shubman Gill was visibly riled up and unhappy after being given out by the third umpire¡ªa decision he clearly disagreed with in the must-win clash against Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH).

In a must-win clash for both Gujarat Titans (GT) and Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) in Match 51 of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025, GT skipper Shubman Gill found himself at the center of controversy on the final ball of the 13th over.
The captain was visibly riled up and unhappy after being given out by the third umpire¡ªa decision he clearly disagreed with. He had hammered a 38-ball 76, giving his team a flying start, but his dismissal left him visibly furious.
What happened?
Jos Buttler nudged a delivery from Zeeshan Ansari towards short fine leg and went for a quick single. Harshal Patel reacted quickly as he collected the ball and hit the stumps with a direct throw. This left Gill short of his crease.
However, what followed was pure chaos and confusion. Replays casted doubt on whether the bails were broken by the ball or by wicketkeeper Heinrich Klaasen's gloves, as he was standing very close to the stumps.
After a lengthy review, the third umpire ruled in SRH's favour, declaring Gill out. The decision didn't sit well with the GT skipper, who was visibly furious. After walking off the field, Gill was seen engaging in a heated exchange with the match official near the GT dugout, clearly questioning the call.

Many took to X (formerly known as Twitter) sharing the photos of a very angry Gill and how the GT camp was trying to keep him away from the match official. However, the main question still remained was if he was out or not out.
