Crime Scene Zero Season 5 OTT Release Date: It¡¯s finally happening. After years of silence, the much-loved Korean crime mystery series is making a comeback, but with a twist. Titled Crime Scene Zero, the show picks up where the original Crime Scene left off, bringing a fresh start while staying true to what made fans fall in love with it in the first place. According to What's on Netflix, it drops on September 2 and will be streaming globally on Netflix.
For those who need a refresher (or are new to the series), Crime Scene started back in 2014 and quickly became a fan favourite in South Korea. Not a typical whodunit, but instead of actors playing out a scripted crime drama, real-life celebrities were placed inside fictional murder cases. Each was given a character to play, but none of them knew the full story. One of them was secretly assigned the role of the murderer.
The rest had to figure out who it was by investigating the scene, questioning each other, and piecing together clues, all while staying in character. People got defensive, others cracked under pressure, and some were just really good at lying. It was part drama, part game, part psychological puzzle and completely addictive. The first four seasons ran until 2017 and became a cult hit before Netflix picked it up for its fifth season.
