Babil Khan, the son of the late actor Irrfan Khan, will make his acting debut in Anushka Sharma's production of the film Qala teaser has been released. The video looks spectacular and exciting with the spotlight on Tripti Dimri as a singer.

However, based on the teaser, Babil Khan just makes a fleeting appearance. The narrative of a young playback singer is told in this movie, which is set in the late 1940s.

It tells the story of a woman who had a difficult past and how it catches up with her, causing her to crumble at the height of her hard-won success because of her deteriorating relationship with her mother.

Babil On His Role As Jagan

Before reading the script for "Qala," the actor who plays Jagan, Babil, stated he was interested in the project but was in a "sensitive" position because the audition fell around the time his father passed away.

The aspiring actor shared his experience, "One of my close friends had been an assistant to Anvita and even before I read the script, I wanted to do the film. I never had second thoughts about it and jumped to reach the auditions. It was the time Baba had passed away and I was broken and vulnerable.��

Tripti Dimri As The Lead Actor In Qala

The main character, Tripti Dimri, tells a sorrowful story about a daughter who longs for her mother's love and devotion. Her big break came in 2020 when she won the Filmfare OTT Award for Best Actress in a Web Original Film for her work in Bulbbul, which received critical praise. After the success of their critically acclaimed picture Bulbbul, the actor and director Anvita will work together once more on Qala.
