¡®Power Packed Performance On The Way¡¯, Samantha Ruth Prabhu¡¯s Feisty ¡®Citadel¡¯ Look Makes Fans Go Gaga

Since a long time ago, she has been winning our hearts. She gained notoriety for her work in "The Family Man" and gave us shivers with her sensual moves in "Oo Antava."

Now, putting all rumours to rest, it has been confirmed that Indian adaptation of Citadel will feature Samantha Ruth Prabhu and along with her will be Varun Dhawan! Her reunion with the directing team Raj and DK, who made her a star pan-India with their previous series The Family Man 2, will take place in the upcoming web series.

Samantha has officially joined this massive project that the Russo Brothers, known for Extraction and Avengers: Endgame, are directing. Richard Madden and Priyanka Chopra Jonas star in the mothership Citadel series, which has been directed by the Russo Brothers.

She recently released the first look from the project and fans are without a doubt going gaga.

Samantha's confirmation as the series' leading lady also comes at a time when rumours regarding the actress's illness possibly forcing a replacement in the show went rampant. The celebrity made news last year when she disclosed that she had been receiving treatment for Myositis, an autoimmune condition. Soon after, rumours surfaced that she would give up her film roles in order to fully recover.

Samantha¡¯s Mytosis Diagnosis:

Revealing about her recent illness, the actress had wrote on Instagram, ¡°Your response to the Yashodha Trailer was overwhelming. It is this love and connection that I share with all of you, that gives me the strength to deal with the seemingly unending challenges that life throws at me. A few months back I was diagnosed with an autoimmune condition called Myositis. I was hoping to share this after it had gone into remission. But it is taking a little longer than I hoped. I am slowly realising that we don¡¯t always need to put up a strong front. Accepting this vulnerability is something that I am still struggling with. The doctors are confident that I will make a complete recovery very soon. I have had good days and bad days¡­. physically and emotionally¡­. and even when it feels like I can¡¯t handle one more day of this, somehow that moment passes. I guess it can only mean that I am one more day closer to recovery. I love you.. THIS TOO SHALL PASS.¡±

She will next be featured in Shaakunthalam, a film adaptation of Abhigyanam Shakuntalam by Kalidasa. Dev Mohan is also a part of the movie, which debuts on February 17. Along with Vijay Deverakonda, Samantha Ruth Prabhu will appear in Kushi.
