WWE Raw results: Goldberg returns, challenges Gunther to a match

WWE Raw results: The legendary Goldberg returned to WWE programming on the June 16 edition of Raw and confronted Gunther, the current World Heavyweight Champion. He challenged ¡®The Ring General¡¯ to a match at Saturday Night¡¯s Main Event on July 12.

Goldberg has a message for Gunther

Gunther added a new dimension to his career last week when he beat Jey Uso to win the World Heavyweight Championship for the second time in his career. This was his way of getting even with ¡®Yett Master¡¯, who had beaten him in April at WrestleMania 41 to capture the belt. On the June 16th edition of Raw, Gunther spoke about his big win and issued a challenge to Seth Rollins, the current Mr Money in the Bank.

The Austrian star was, however, confronted by a returning Goldberg. ¡®Da Man¡¯ reminded them of their past confrontation at Bad Blood and challenged him to a match at Saturday Night¡¯s Main Event this july. The match was soon made official.

About Goldberg

Goldberg is one of pro wrestling¡¯s biggest names. He emerged as a force to be reckoned with in WCW in the 1990s. He has also had several runs with the WWE. His match with Gunther will be his first one in over three years. He last competed in a WWE ring in 2022 when he lost to Roman Reigns. Goldberg has also feuded with the likes of Brock Lesnar, The Rock, and the late Bray Wyatt/The Fiend in the WWE.
