What is Summer of 69 about?
Directed by Jillian Bell in her debut as a filmmaker, Summer of 69 is part nostalgic flashback, part bawdy adult comedy and a whole lot of fun. The story follows Abby Flores (played by Sam Morelos), a smart but slightly awkward teen just trying to survive the summer before college. But things take an unexpected turn when she¡¯s sent to live with her mysterious Aunt Santa Monica (played by SNL¡¯s very own Chloe Fineman), who just happens to be... an exotic dancer.
Thrown into a world of glitter, go-go boots, and self-discovery, Abby finds herself learning about confidence, sex positivity, and the courage to step out of your comfort zone, all with hilarious missteps along the way.
