Andrew Bolton, chief curator of The Costume Institute at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, is largely responsible for choosing this year's theme, which is "Superfine: Tailoring Black Style." The 2009 book "Slaves to Fashion: Black Dandyism and the Styling of Black Diasporic Identity" by Monica L. Met Gala 2025 Co-chairs and hosting committee
Colman Domingo, Lewis Hamilton, A$AP Rocky, Pharrell Williams, and Anna Wintour herself will co-chair the Met Gala. The honorary co-chair will be LeBron James. For the first time since 2019, Vogue is promoting a host committee this year in addition to the hosts, and the roster is extensive.
