What is the major problem?
If you take a deeper look into this, the company is currently making a multiplayer game. Originally, Rockstar was aiming to release the game in fall 2025, but it moved out of GTA VI's way to spring 2026. Now, GTA VI is taking that window; they are at risk of delaying the game yet again, which is quite expensive to do.
The problem with releasing near GTA VI might be suffocation, meanwhile, there is so much money and time to go around. But that's not the only thing; many fans still think that Rockstar may not happen in the next year.
However, any more delay until later in 2026 is not impossible.
Other than this, one of the games impacted by the delay is another Rockstar title: The Max Payne 1 & 2 Remake. Analysts had expected a release before the end of June 2026. However, since Rockstar is handling the publishing and marketing, it's likely that the game won't launch until after GTA 6 has made its debut.
