NEET PG 2025 exam postponed: The National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) has officially postponed the NEET PG 2025 exam. It was originally scheduled for June 15, 2025. This decision follows a Supreme Court order mandating that the exam be conducted in a single shift to ensure fairness, transparency, and uniformity for all candidates.

NEET PG 2025 exam Reason for Postponement

The Supreme Court's directive came in response to a writ petition filed by candidates challenging the two-shift exam format, citing concerns over arbitrariness and unequal difficulty levels between shifts. The court ordered NBEMS to conduct the NEET PG 2025 exam in a single shift with secure and transparent test centers.

NBEMS to Arrange More Test Centers and Infrastructure

To follow the Supreme Court＊s instructions, NBEMS is now working to find and set up more test centers across India. They are also upgrading the infrastructure needed to conduct the NEET PG 2025 exam in a single shift for all candidates. This large-scale arrangement is a big logistical challenge. Because of this, the exam has been postponed.

New NEET PG 2025 Exam Date and Schedule: To Be Announced Soon

NBEMS has not yet announced the revised date for the NEET PG 2025 exam. Candidates are advised to regularly check the official NBEMS websites 〞 natboard.edu.in and nbe.edu.in for the latest updates on the new exam date, city intimation slip, admit card release, and complete exam schedule.

NEET PG 2025 Exam Format

The exam will be conducted in a single shift as per the Supreme Court order.

• It will be a computer-based test (CBT).
• The exam will consist of 200 multiple-choice questions (MCQs) in English.
• Candidates will have 3 hours and 30 minutes to complete the exam.

It＊s important to remember that back in April 2025, there were rumors about NEET PG 2025 being postponed. The Press Information Bureau (PIB) had dismissed those rumors and confirmed that the exam would take place on June 15, 2025. But, due to the recent directive from the Supreme Court, the exam has now been officially postponed.
