Match 50 of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur is shaping up to be a thrilling contest between Rajasthan Royals (RR) and Mumbai Indians (MI).
Not only is this a crucial match in terms of solidifying a spot in the Playoffs, but it's also becoming a challenging one due to unexpected climate changes that may impact the game.
Dusty breeze in Jaipur
First there was a brief interruption in play during the 1.1 over mark as a sudden dust storm swept through the stadium. A strong, dusty breeze caused visible discomfort, with Rohit Sharma appearing to get something in his eye.
Fortunately, he recovered quickly and was ready to resume play. The unusual weather forced some MI players in the dugout to retreat indoors, and just as the dust began to settle, a few drops of rain keeps adding to the disruption.

Rohit Sharma survives
As play resumed, drama unfolded in the 1.5 over when Fazalhaq Farooqi bowled a slower-length delivery targeting middle and leg. Rohit, caught off guard, was too early on his shot and the ball struck him on the back leg. The umpire raised his finger, but Rohit opted for a review at the last possible second.
Ball-tracking showed that the delivery had just pitched outside leg stump¡ªan incredibly close call that ultimately went in his favour of MI and the umpire had to overturn his on-field decision.
