Hey There OnePlus 5, We've Seen You Somewhere Before Haven't We?

OnePlus is ready to officially debut its OnePlus 5 flagship smartphone on June 20, but it looks like the Internet isnĄŻt content to wait. Android Police has released an image, supposedly of the OnePlus 5, which looks suspiciously similar to another premium device weĄŻve come to know. Can you spot it?

In case you havenĄŻt figured it out, thatĄŻs a picture of the OnePlus 5 looking almost exactly like the iPhone 7 Plus. While Android Police claims itĄŻs corroborated this information with a second source to confirm that it is indeed the upcoming OnePlus flagship, we still canĄŻt be entirely sure this isnĄŻt a fake of some sort. Not only are the dual camera and flash in exactly the same spots, but the front panel matches as well. The only noticeable difference is on the left spine; the OnePlus 5 seems to have conjoined volume rockers where the iPhone 7 Plus' are separated.

Nevertheless, if this image is authentic, it gives us a better idea of what to expect from the OnePlus 5. Previous reports have indicated the device will feature the new Snapdragon 835 processor, though this picture indicates itĄŻll also ship with a dual rear camera system. Clearly, itĄŻll also be available in Jet Black, though thereĄŻs likely to be at least one other colour variant.

If nothing else, this image being confirmed as authentic proves a point many in the tech world have already noticed; Apple is the king of smartphone looks, even if itĄŻs other design choices are regarded as controversial (weĄŻre talking about you, AirPods with no 3.5mm jack). And clearly, other manufacturers are starting to worry a little less about imitating their style.

Again, keep in mind that we canĄŻt independently confirm that this image of the OnePlus 5 is authentic, and weĄŻre holding out on making any assumptions until we see the real deal on this one.
