Diddy trial's prosecution delivers sharp closing arguments: 'This is what happened when Cassie?said?no.'
The Diddy trial entered its closing arguments on June 26, with the prosecution portraying the disgraced mogul as a man who wouldn't take no for an answer. Furthermore, they argued that he abused Cassie Ventura for saying no to his freak-offs.

Sean ¡°Diddy¡± Combs¡¯s high-profile criminal trial for a myriad of serious allegations, including domestic abuse and sex trafficking, entered its closing arguments on June 26. The proceedings have been happening at the Federal District Court of Lower Manhattan since May 5 of this year. Sean Combs was among hip-hop¡¯s most renowned producers after rising to prominence for his collaboration with Biggie Smalls in the 1990s.
While Biggie Smalls ended up losing his life in a drive-by shooting in 1997, Sean Combs continued to achieve commercial success and influence as both a solo artist and record producer. His glory days, however, would come to an end after his ex-girlfriend, Cassie Ventura, accused him of domestic abuse in 2023. Diddy¡¯s properties in Los Angeles, New York and Miami were raided by the Department of Homeland Security in March 2024, an event which made headlines for all the contraband the raids recovered, including illegally modified assault rifles and baby oil.
The prosecution said Diddy ¡°won¡¯t take no for an answer¡±

The closing arguments were delivered by Assistant US Attorney Christy Slavik over the course of four hours. She detailed the elaborate nature of Diddy¡¯s enterprise, how he and his network of employees and collaborators were responsible for committing hundreds of grave crimes over the years. As she noted, however, the jury only needed to find him guilty on two counts.
The prosecution spoke of Diddy¡¯s role as a drug trafficker, as well as about his attempted murder of Kid Cudi by planting a bomb in the latter¡¯s car. The worst crime, as she maintained, was the sex trafficking.

The infamous video of Diddy chasing down his ex-girlfriend Cassie Ventura and physically assaulting her was played in front of the jury. The prosecution referred to prior testimony already provided by Cassie and an anonymous ¡°Jane¡± to illustrate that Diddy¡¯s domestic abuse and sex crimes went hand in hand. Ms Slavik said, ¡°The cloud of abuse was always hanging over Cassie¡¯s head, always hovering¡±, with her reiterating that Diddy was abusing Cassie because of her alleged refusal to go along with his freak-offs. As she put it:
"This is what happened when Cassie said no."
