Introducing IDID: Final lineup from STARSHIP's 'Debut's Plan' survival show

The journey on STARSHIP Entertainment's survival show Debut's Plan: NewKids has come to an end, giving birth to a new K-pop boy group ¡ª IDID. The group is set to debut in the second half of 2025. On May 5, the finale episode of the show revealed the eight contestants who will officially debut. The lineup includes five trainees who ranked highest overall, one member chosen entirely by fan votes, and two who were saved by the board.

Kim Minjae

Minjae was the first member to be announced in the final lineup. He trained for a total of 3 years and 5 months, including time spent at Def Dance Skool and nearly two years under SM Entertainment. Inspired by icons like Michael Jackson and Michael Jordan, Minjae has long dreamed of becoming an idol ¡ª a goal he's had since his elementary school days.

Jang Yonghoon

Yonghoon became the second member to be announced. He trained for 2 years and 4 months before making his debut. Originally pursuing a career in modeling, he eventually shifted paths to become an idol. He values proper etiquette, especially when it comes to using honorifics. He hopes to be seen as resilient and dependable, comparing himself to a tree ¡ª steady in growth and soon to bear fruit. He views his journey on NewKids as the beginning of that blossoming process.

Baek Junhyuk

Junhyuk was the third member to be announced in the group lineup. He has trained for 3 years and 4 months, with experience from well-known academies like DEF Dance Academy and Pick Planet Academy. A former trainee under both JYP Entertainment (in 2020) and SM Entertainment, Junhyuk brings a strong foundation to the group. He is currently attending Hanlim Multi Art School, majoring in Practical Dance, further honing his performance skills.

Park Wonbin

Wonbin trained for 4 years and 4 months, making him one of the longest-standing trainees at STARSHIP Entertainment. With such a long journey behind him, he admits to feeling pressure to prove himself. A graduate of Hanlim Multi Arts School's Entertainment Department, Wonbin takes particular pride in his rap skills, which he vividly compares to lightning ¡ª sharp, fast, and impactful.

Chu Yoochan

Yoochan was the fifth member to be announced in the lineup. With 4 years and 4 months of training under his belt, he brings solid experience, having trained at Flat9 Academy and previously at IST Entertainment. In September 2019, he also passed the final audition for Kakao M. Academically, Yoochan is a graduate of Incheon Daeyoung Arts High School, where he majored in Practical Music and was part of the school's third graduating class.

Jeong Semin

Semin hails from Okgwa-myeon in Gokseong-gun, Jeollanam-do, South Korea. He graduated from Okgwa Middle School and is currently attending Hanlim Multi Art School, where he majors in Practical Music. Before joining the group, Semin was a member of a dance crew called Kkwabadoo and trained at GO Arts Dance Studio. Although his training period was relatively short ¡ª just 10 months ¡ª he has quickly made a name for himself.

Junhwan originally dreamed of becoming an athlete and even played baseball during elementary school, though he eventually quit due to his parents' objections. He spent part of his life in China before returning to South Korea, where he graduated from Konkuk University Middle School and is now attending high school. Despite having trained for just five months, Junhwan has already gained attention ¡ª including a feature in Cosmopolitan Korea for the article 6 High School Talks About Beauty.

Park Seonghyeon

Seonghyeon, selected as the eighth and final member through the board's save, completed the group's lineup. With 3 years and 9 months of training, he had been determined to pursue a singing career since 6th grade. Currently majoring in Practical Dance at Hanlim Multi Art School, Seonghyeon was previously a trainee under JYP Entertainment before joining the group.
