IPL 2025 resumes: Who has the most half-centuries this season so far?
The first match following the league's resumption ¡ª between Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) and Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) ¡ª did not go according to script. Persistent rain ensured that even a 5-over match was not possible.

The Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 has finally resumed after a one-week suspension following escalating cross-border tensions between India and Pakistan. But the first match following the league's resumption ¡ª between Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) and Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) ¡ª did not go according to script.
Persistent rain at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru ensured that even a 5-over match was not possible, and the teams had to share the points. This led to KKR being knocked out of the Playoff race, while RCB find themselves at the top of the table now.
Match 5??8?? between @RCBTweets and @KKRiders has been called off due to rain.

While supporters can't wait for the next IPL 2025 battle, let's have a look at the players who have hit the most fifties this season:
Virat Kohli ¨C Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB)
Matches: 11 | Runs: 505 | Fifties: 7 | Highest Score: 73*
The 'King', as is traditional, heads the list. With seven half-centuries, he re-established his dominance at the top of the order, like he does every season. His consistency has been instrumental in RCB's good run this year, and fans will be hoping that he continues to steady the innings with experience and poise.
Sai Sudharsan ¨C Gujarat Titans (GT)
Matches: 11 | Runs: 509 | Fifties: 5 | Highest Score: 82
The young left-handed batter has been the mainstay for GT this season, always giving the solid starts his team requires. With five fifties under his belt, Sudharsan has provided much-needed solidity up top, playing genuine cricketing shots and displaying his potential to be a future star.
Shubman Gill ¨C Gujarat Titans (GT)
Matches: 11 | Runs: 508 | Fifties: 5 | Highest Score: 90
Indian cricket's 'Prince' is not too far behind, again proving his mettle this season. Equalling his teammate and fellow opener Sudharsan's five fifties, the GT captain has set an example, again and again finding a solid foundation at the top.
Jos Buttler ¨C Gujarat Titans (GT)
Matches: 11 | Runs: 500 | Fifties: 5 | Highest Score: 97*
GT's other top performer this year has been Jos 'The Boss' Buttler. His five half-centuries very frequently arrive at a scorching rate as he turns the tide in GT's direction. But now, due to national duties, he won't be part of GT for the rest of the IPL, which is a big loss for the team.
Yashasvi Jaiswal ¨C Rajasthan Royals (RR)
Matches: 12 | Runs: 473 | Fifties: 5 | Highest Score: 75
The young batter, already making a splash in Test cricket, has also justified his reputation in the T20 league. While his side struggled with little to no lower-order support, he performed at the top consistently, scoring five half-centuries and giving the Royals good starts in the Powerplay.
