The biggest tournament is being halted only for the second time in the history of IPL so far. Well, in 2009, the tournament was moved out of India due to the general elections.
Following 2009, in 2014 also the IPL was also moved out partially. However, it has taken something very major to bring the IPL to a standstill. Now, as the league has been paused, it is said that the tournament is halted for 1 week and will be resumed after everything is normal.
On the other hand, in 2021, for the first time in history, the Indian Premier League was stopped midway due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
