Kim Soo Hyun's agency denies allegations leveled by Kim Sae Ron's family, claims voice recording was AI-generated forgery

The controversy surrounding actor Kim Soo Hyun has continued to intensify following explosive allegations made by Kim Sae Ron¡¯s family and the Garosero Research Institute during a press conference on Wednesday. In response, his agency, GOLDMEDALIST, issued a strong denial through their legal team, LKB & Partners, calling the claims entirely false and accusing those involved of staging a coordinated smear campaign using AI-generated audio.

For context, the legal representative of Kim Sae Ron¡¯s family presented an audio recording¡ªbelieved to be of the late actress¡ªwhere she allegedly claimed she had a sexual relationship with Kim Soo Hyun when she was just 14 years old. In the same recording, she also said the actor had sent her intimate photos of himself with an idol whose identity has not been revealed.

The agency claims the audio was faked using AI

In their official statement, GOLDMEDALIST called the voice recording presented at the press conference a complete forgery. According to the agency, the recording was artificially created using AI voice synthesis.

The agency also revealed that the person who provided the audio file to Garosero had previously approached GOLDMEDALIST with a suspicious offer. Claiming to possess a file in which Kim Sae Ron spoke positively about Kim Soo Hyun, the individual allegedly demanded money in exchange for the material. When the agency refused to comply, the person reportedly turned to Garosero, where the recording was ultimately unveiled.

¡°The individual has no verified connection to the late Kim Sae Ron,¡± the statement read. ¡°After failing to extort our agency, they collaborated with Garo Sero to distribute a fake recording. We believe the file was produced using AI and are currently undergoing a technical analysis to confirm this.¡±

¡°Attack photo¡± claims also disputed

During the press conference, Garosero also claimed that their informant had been physically assaulted by attorney Ko Sang Rok, a legal representative for GOLDMEDALIST. As supposed proof, they presented what they called an ¡°attack photo.¡±

However, GOLDMEDALIST refuted this accusation, stating that the photo in question could be easily traced online and was not linked to any incident involving their attorney. ¡°It¡¯s an obvious fabrication that defies common sense,¡± the agency stated.

Kim Soo Hyun' agency plans for legal action

GOLDMEDALIST made it clear that they would not be taking the situation lightly. According to the statement, the agency plans to file legal complaints against Garo Sero under various charges, including defamation, stalking, cybersexual crimes, and spreading manipulated content.

¡°This isn¡¯t just defamation¡ªit¡¯s a serious criminal act using artificial intelligence to ruin someone¡¯s life,¡± the agency emphasized. ¡°We will pursue every legal avenue to ensure that the individuals responsible are held accountable.¡±
