This marks a full-circle moment in a saga that began in 2019, when her former label, Big Machine Records, sold her catalogue to Braun without her involvement. The move led to a highly publicised fallout, and Swift chose to take matters into her own hands, literally. Her solution? Re-record the original six albums so she could own new masters of her old hits.

That decision sparked a cultural shift. Since 2021, ¡°Taylor¡¯s Version¡± releases of Fearless, Red, Speak Now, and 1989 have topped charts, crashed streaming platforms, and added layers of meaning with unreleased tracks and subtle easter eggs.
