WWE Raw Results: Gunther beats Jey Uso to capture the World Heavyweight Championship
WWE Raw Results: Jey Uso took on Gunther in the main event of Raw on June 9 and put on a good show. He, however, came up short as ¡®The Ring General¡¯ choked him out with a sleeper in the match¡¯s closing moments.
WWE Raw Results: Gunther defeated Jey Uso in the keenly-contested main event of WWE Raw on June 9 to become the new World Heavyweight Champion. The match was a competitive one which saw both men trying to choke out the other with the sleeper.
Gunther beats Jey Uso
Jey Uso, who made Gunther tap out to the sleeper (his own move) at WrestleMania 41, defended his World Heavyweight title against the Austrian powerhouse on the latest episode of Raw. ¡®The Yeet Master¡¯ applied the sleeper to Gunther early in the match.

This, however, was not enough to get the job done. Jey Uso, who entered the match with bruised ribs from an attack at the hands of Bronson Reed last week, dominated his mighty foe initially. However, the injury soon caught up with him. Gunther took advantage of the same and unleashed an assault on him but Jey Uso kept coming back. He even nailed the Uso splash on ¡®The Ring General¡¯ but failed to get the three count.
In the closing moments, Gunther applied the sleeper hold on Jey Uso and wrapped his body around him. ¡®The Yeet Master¡¯ tried to breakout of it but finally passed out, giving Gunther the win and the title for the second time.
