The Royals season 2: Bhumi Pednekar, Ishaan Khatter, Sakshi Tanwar, and Zeenat Aman's web series The Royals has sparked a lot of chatter online. While some criticized the plot as shoddy, others commented that the acting fell flat. And, of course, much of the attention was drawn to Ishaan Khatter¡¯s physique (trust me, you¡¯ll read plenty about it on X and Reddit). On top of all this, a recent interview featuring Ishaan has led many to believe he hinted at a potential Season 2. Let¡¯s dive right in.
Will there be The Royals season 2?
The cast of The Royals got together to discuss their experiences and offer each other amusing titles during a lighthearted interview with Filmfare. As his character Aviraaj does everything, drives, swims, and rides horses¡ªhis co-stars dubbed Ishaan Khatter the "Bravest Knight." The only thing left for him to do is get out of a helicopter, Lisa Mishra, who plays Nikki, joked. "In Season 2, I would do that," Ishaan said with a giggle. Ishaan¡¯s mention of a season 2 sparked the conversation and people think that there will be a brand new season too.
Although Netflix has not officially greenlit a second season so far, this remains mere speculation at this point.
What is The Royals on Netflix about?
According to Netflix, Bhumi Pednekar plays Sophia Kanmani Shekhar, a ferociously ambitious CEO with aspirations greater than any palace, and Ishaan Khatter is Aviraaj Singh, a reluctant, polo-playing new-age Rajkumar. Their conflicting egos and aspirations lead to a flurry of romance, family disputes, and high-stakes mania as they work together to turn Morpur's faltering haveli and its eccentric inhabitants into an opulent B&B experience.
