With Earnings Of Rs 366 Cr, Akshay Kumar Is The Only Indian On Forbes 100 Highest-Paid Celebs List
Even though this is Akshay's second year in a row on in this list, this year he has slipped 19 positions from his last year's ranking of 33.
Corresponding to the number of his age, Bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar has managed to secure 52nd position in the Forbes 100 list of world's highest-paid celebrities.
With estimated pre-tax earnings of USD 48.5 million (roughly Rs 366 crore) from June 2019 to May 2020, Akshay is the only Indian to make the cut on this list.

According to the Forbes report, Akshay's collaboration with US-based streaming giant Amazon Prime Video for his digital debut series 'The End' is why he managed to outshine in the list.
According to reports, Amazon sealed the deal for Akshay's digital debut and closed it at USD 10 million (roughly Rs 75 crore). Amazon's VP of International Originals, James Farrell spoke to Forbes about the brand's collaboration with Akshay and said,
"It's about what people want to see. If they want to see Akshay Kumar in a multi-season, action-thriller, who am I to say watch this instead? It may not be cheap but it's worth it."
One of the highest-paid actors of Bollywood, Akshay reportedly raked in USD 13 million (roughly Rs 100 crore) for his lined up movies that include 'Bell Bottom' and 'Bachchan Pandey'.
Where are the women of Bollywood? Well, this again throws a spotlight on the Indian film industry's continuous trend of pay disparity.

In 2019's listing, Akshay's estimated earnings were USD 65 million (roughly Rs 490 crore) but due to COVID-19, his earnings have been reportedly affected. Even though Akshay Kumar remains the highest-paid actor in Bollywood, he has also maintained his credibility and won hearts with huge donations.

The actor donated Rs 25 crore to PM-CARES Fund for COVID-19 relief and he also extended monetary help of Rs 3 crore to Mumbai's municipal corporation for Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) and Rs 2 crore to Mumbai Police Foundation.
Akshay dethroned international celebrities like Conor McGregor (53), Jennifer Lopez (56), Will Smith (69), Rihanna (60), Jackie Chan (80), Adam Sandler (75) and the list goes longer!
