BTS is back! Kim Taehyung and Namjoon come out in style; RM plays the saxophone, V dances
Apart from Kim Namjoon, Park Jimin, Kim Taehyung and Jeon Jungkook, the BTS rapper Suga will also complete his military service this month. The group will reunite as a whole after 2022 when the eldest member enlisted.
The D-day is here, and as the BTS members themselves have said, "We are back!" The two BTS members, Kim Namjoon and Kim Taehyung, have been discharged from military service on June 10, 2025. The duo came out in style ¡ª BTS leader RM played the saxophone while V danced to his tunes.
RM and V stepped out of the military base at 9:00 AM KST (5:30 AM IST), marking a significant milestone for the global fanbase, ARMY, as BTS moves one step closer to a full seven-member reunion.
When did BTS' RM and V begin their mandatory military service?
BTS members RM (Kim Namjoon) and V (Kim Taehyung) began their mandatory military service in December 2023. RM served as part of the military band under the 15th Infantry Division in Hwacheon, while V chose a more demanding route by joining the Special Duty Team (SDT) under the 2nd Corps Military Police Unit in Chuncheon.

Shortly after his discharge, the rapper took to Instagram to share three photos, captioned simply, "2023.12.11 ~ 2025.6.10," marking the dates of his enlistment and discharge.
The charming singer also shared photos on his Insta story of which one was of them entering their military base and now them hugging as they come back. On one picture, he too wrote the dates and said, "Thank you for waiting ARMY".

As soon as the Korean media shared pictures of their discharge, the BTS fandom called ARMY flooded the internet with photos of the duo. Especially on X (formerly known as Twitter), many shared the videos of the duo being happy after being discharged from their military duties.

About BTS
Ahead of the discharge, Big Hit Music issued a notice on their fan platform Weverse, asking fans not to gather at the military base due to safety reasons. The agency emphasized that "no separate official events will be held on the day of discharge" and urged ARMY to support the members from afar.
Following RM and V, the next BTS members set to return are Jimin and Jungkook, who will complete their service on June 11, 2025¡ªjust a day later. Meanwhile, SUGA (Min Yoongi), currently serving as a public service worker due to health reasons, is expected to be discharged on June 21.
