IPL 2025: PBKS vs DC match halted in Dharamsala after floodlight blackout; fans moved out of stadium
The incident happened in the 11th over of the Punjab innings, just when the opener Priyansh Arya was dismissed, and both teams had to halt the match in the middle, and they moved back to the dressing room. Fans are being moved out, see the video here.

It's the 58th match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025, when Punjab Kings (PBKS) and Delhi Capitals (DC) are facing off each other at the Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association Stadium in Dharamsala on May 8, 2025. The match between Punjab Kings and Delhi Capitals in Dharamsala has been called off due to a sudden attack by Pakistan in Jammu and Jaisalmer.
The match was abruptly interrupted on Wednesday night after a sudden floodlight failure plunged the venue into darkness. But it seems that it is not the day for the teams, as already, the clash between PBKS vs DC started an hour late due to rain, and there was further disruption caused due to a technical issue in one of the light towers.

The match was halted after one of the floodlights started malfunctioning at the ground. The decision to stop the match came after the blackout had happened.
As per the My Khel report, it is understood that the match was forced to be called off due to a power outage, and the IPL authorities were told to move out of the stadium for security reasons.
