IPL 2025: Rain has final say as SRH knocked out of Playoff race despite strong bowling vs DC

Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) captain Pat Cummins gave it his all in the clash against Delhi Capitals (DC), and it looked like they had a golden opportunity for a win after restricting DC to 133 for 7. However, DC will be somewhat relieved, having avoided another loss and adding a point to their tally.

With the match abandoned due to rain at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium, SRH become the third team to be eliminated from the Playoff race！following Rajasthan Royals (RR) and Chennai Super Kings (CSK). As for DC, the single point moves them into the odd-number points category on the table.

SRH's bowling

Pat Cummins made an immediate impact, dismissing Karun Nair for a duck on the very first ball of the game. He then removed Faf du Plessis (3 off 8) and Abishek Porel (8 off 10). Remarkably, he bowled three overs in the Powerplay and took a wicket with the first ball of each over. His influence wasn't limited to the ball！he also took a catch to dismiss DC captain Axar Patel for 6 off 7.

Jaydev Unadkat, Harshal Patel, and Eshan Malinga chipped in with a wicket each, as SRH co-owner Kavya Maran looked visibly pleased with the team's performance.
