'Wrestlers are not writers': Former champion reacts to The Undertaker potentially joining WWE's creative team
The Undertaker is likely to join the WWE creative team soon. This has created a deal of excitement among fans. However, veteran writer Vince Russo is not too excited about this. He feels that not everybody can be a writer as writing is a craft.

The Undertaker is one the biggest names in the world of professional wrestling. The Hall of Famer, who retired from in-ring competition in 2020, was an inseparable part of WWE programming across eras. ¡®The Deadman¡¯ is now planning to join the company¡¯s creative team. Veteran wrestler Konnan recently revealed on his podcast that ¡®Taker was backstage at Money in the Bank and plans to be more involved in the creative process. This has created a great deal of buzz in the industry. However, former World Championship Wrestling (WCW) Heavyweight Champion Vince Russo isn¡¯t too excited about the same.
Vince Russo weighs in on The Undertaker potentially joining the WWE creative team
Vince Russo, who has worked with promotions such as WWE and WCW, does not ¡®think much¡¯ about The Undertaker potentially joining the creative team. According to him, ¡®writing is a craft¡¯ and not everyone can do it. He further said ¡®wrestlers are not writers¡¯
¡°Unless he is going to "REALLY" be involved on a Full-Time basis, I don't think much. Wrestlers ARE NOT WRITERS. Writing is a Craft---not just anybody can do it,¡± he told Indiatimes.
His comments come at a time when the WWE main roster creative team, led by Triple H, has come under fire for some of its decisions.
The finish of the John Cena-Cody Rhodes match at WrestleMania 41 in particular received a great deal of flak. The dying moments of the contest saw ¡®The Franchise Player¡¯ beat his opponent with help from rapper Travis Scott. The Rock, who played a crucial role in Cena¡¯s heel turn and this storyline, was expected to appear but that did not happen. This further diluted the impact of the feud.
It remains to be seen whether The Undertaker is able to add value to the creative team if and when he joins it.
