WWE SmackDown May 2: Aleister Black beat The Miz in a fairly competitive match on the latest episode of WWE SmackDown, a week after he returned to WWE after a five-year hiatus. Post this, the company set the stage for a potential feud between ¡®The Otherworldly¡¯ and Carmelo Hayes, The Awesome One¡¯s protege.

Aleister Black defeats The Miz, sets his sights on Carmelo Hayes

Aleister Black took on The Miz in a singles match on the latest episode of SmackDown. The returning star started out strong and forced the veteran to rethink his strategy. The Miz, however, managed to turn the tables.

The former WrestleMania main-eventer got in a fair deal of offence but Black caught him by surprise and countered a skull-crushing finale. Post this, Carmelo Hayes¨C who was at the ringside¨C tried to distract Black but it did not benefit The Miz. Black eventually nailed his opponent with a Black Mass and got the win. Thereafter, he had a stare down with ¡®HIM¡¯. With the segment, WWE seemingly planted the seed for a feud between Hayes and Black.

The Miz addressed the audience last week and complained about being left off the WrestleMania 41 card. He was interrupted by Aleister Black, who returned to WWE after fve years and struck the seasoned star with a devasting Black Mass
